One of the fasted and largest reinstatement projects undertaken in the county. Re-design management between planning, fire, civil, structural, environmental and industrial design was all handled by Hutch O’Malley

Challenge

Following a massive fire in the production factory in November 2017 the business was on the brink of closure. While rebuilding the original building without planning was possible the piecemeal nature of the original development meant it was impractical and uneconomical. The insurance claim had to be settled and the building rebuilt to keep the company alive

Solution

Hutch O’Malley rapidly appraised the situation, oversaw and coordinated an immediate reaction having the site cleared and enabling works beginning within in three months and full planning and fire safety certificate granted within 6 months. The new building of 9,000m2 was designed granted approvals and constructed within 12 months of the fire while also settling the insurance claim.
